Assessment for Learning in SD#5

The major goal of the Assessment for Learning focus in School District No.5 is to help develop the capacity at the school and district level to manage and implement change that enhances student learning.

This focus will help teachers and administrators collaboratively:

* deepen their understanding of why Assessment for Learning is important
* develop a common base of knowledge of what works to enhance student learning
* identify principles and mindshifts needed to implement the components of assessment
* develop action plans that address student assessment and learning
* develop a strong understanding of planning, design, aligning, assessment, curriculum and instruction
