Final status: We completed the roll back of a recent update which has mitigated the issue, and our service telemetry indicates recovery and restoration of mail flow. Additionally, the service has automatically rebalanced traffic across healthy infrastructure to further expedite resolution for end-users.
Root cause: We identified that a recent update made to the impacted Canadian infrastructure may have contributed to end-user impact. The update was intended to improve aspects of mail routing across our Canadian infrastructure. Next steps: - We're reviewing our service update procedure to better identify areas of improvement for handling service changes like this one in the future. - We're reviewing our detection mechanisms to identify any areas of improvement for responding to issues similar to this one in the future. Weβll provide a Post-Incident Report within 5 business days.
