Student Affordability Fund

We are happy to announce that School District #5 has been given a one-time grant to help support the basic needs of families in our school district. These funds are meant to be accessed by any student.  Kootenay Orchards would like to offer families a one-time opportunity to request funds that can benefit their family.

FUNDING GUIDELINES

• School meals and food programs;
• Clothing, footwear and outwear related to school sports or activities;
  
• Waiving school fees for field trips, band trips, instrument rentals, etc.;
• Grocery Cards;
• Dental Care Supplements;
• Extra curricular fees for sports or art programs outside of school;
• Recreational passes (swimming, gymnastics, etc.).
  

FUNDING REQUESTS

To make a request, please complete the Kootenay Orchards Family Affordability Request Form and return it either via email to koes.mailing@sd5.bc.ca or to the school office.  A staff member may contact you to discuss the request.​​

All funding requests will be kept completely confidential.  Funds will be sent home with students in an envelope addressed to the parents/guardians.  If you need to make alternate pick-up arrangements, please contact the school office.
