Home Stay

To gain maximum benefit from their Canadian experience, international students are encouraged to live with a local homestay family. Carefully selected families welcome students into their homes and care for them as they would one of their own children. Homestay families provide a private bedroom, three meals per day, a suitable study area and access to other areas of the house such as bathrooms and laundry facilities.

We consider our homestays to be the most important part of our international education program, because a comfortable and secure home life, allows students to concentrate better on their studies and fully enjoy their time in Canada. Our homestay program is managed directly by the School District.

Most students choose to have a representative of the School District act as their official custodian during their stay in Canada. There is no extra charge for this service. The custodian arranges for the care and support of the student on behalf of the student's parents.

If students choose not to stay with a homestay family arranged by the School District, they must live with a responsible adult aged 25 or older.
