At ESS we are committed to providing the students with the opportunity to play in a variety of individual and team sports. This is through our school Intramurals program, and our sports leagues where we play against other schools here in the Elk Valley and beyond. We at ESS believe that physical activity, sports and athletics play a crucial role in the development of children and teenagers, both physically and emotionally.
In order for our sports programs to succeed we require the valuable time and effort of our community and its members. We are always looking for new and old volunteers to help coach, manage and lead our sports teams. If you would like to be involved please contact the school.
We have teams at all levels: bantam (gr 7 & 8), junior (gr 9 & 10), and senior (gr 11 & 12).
