​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​At IDES we enjoy state of the art technology utilizing iPads, smart boards​, green screen technology,​ laptop computers and document cameras to enhance instruction and student learning.

Recent upgrades include the acquisition of a class set of iPads.

IDES has also has 2 portable computer labs, each with 30 laptops, which allow students to access the internet and applications from anywhere in the school.

Students are taught about numerous styles of technology use, internet and online safety, coding, and are encouraged to utilize technology to enhance their learning goals.

    Students in grade 3 are making digital books with the iPad App Book Creator.
  • Green Screen Technology

    Green Screen Technology

    Students are learning how to use Chromakeying  and the iPad app Green Screen by Do Ink to superimpose themselves onto selected images and videos.

    Grade 4 students are developing thier keyboarding skills while working through the program All The Right Type.

    The iPad cart (32 iPads) is regularly booked by teachers who are integrating technology into their lessons.

    Students and teachers enjoy the use of Smartboards in their classrooms.  The Smart Board is an interactive whiteboard that displays images from the computer and allows the user to control the computer through touch on the Smart Board

    Hour of Code, Tynker

    Grade one students enjoyed using the Smart Board to learn about coding with Tynker, a programming course for kids.
