​​​​Industry Training Authority​​​​​​Train: Train in Trades (formerly ACE-IT)

​​Get a jump on your College of the Rockies Trades training with TRAIN!  TRAIN is an industry training program for high school students. Through a TRAIN program, you can take courses that will give you both high school graduation credits and a head start towards completion of an apprenticeship program.  For more information on the TRAIN program contact:

​The following are the technical trades available through this partnership program at the College of the Rockies in Cranbrook:
  • Auto Service Technician
  • Carpenter
  • Professional Cook 1
  • Hairstylist
  • Heavy Duty Equipment Technician
  • Industrial Mechanic (Millwright)
  • Electrician (both August and February intakes)
  • Welder (both September and January intakes)

​​Please see your school counsellor for an application package and information on the availability of seats.

The programs are supported by bursaries from the Industry Training Authority that pay a large portion of the tuition costs.  Successful students earn Grade 12 credits, College of the Rockies Certificates and Level I Technical Training in the apprenticeship.
