On November 15th, students from Ms. Webber's Careers 10 class went for a tour of the Elkview Mine! They connected with staff working in a wide variety of jobs within the industry, got to drive heavy equipment simulators, tried on ventilators, flew drones, witnessed remote blasting operations and toured the operations shop!
" It was fun learning about the work and people there. Walking through the buildings and trying out the simulations and admiring the machinery, like the respirators and the HUGE shovels and trucks. All around, I enjoyed the experience, touring the buildings, going on the bus, meeting workers, and seeing what my life could look like."
