Indigenous Celebration Day
Marisa Phillips, a Ktunaxa artist, visited our school today to share local legends with the students. She shared with us her current job and how she is helping with land reclamation. She encouraged students to think about our impact in our environment and how we can help the next 7 generations of our ancestors. Our students were a respectful audience with great questions and connections about her presentation. Even more impressive that it's the end of June!
