Interested in Becoming a School Trustee?
Nominations are open for the 2026 General Local Elections.
The Southeast Kootenay School District is offering a Trustee Information Session for anyone interested in learning more about becoming a school trustee.
The session will take place on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at 6:00 p.m.
Participants can attend in person at the Southeast Kootenay School District Board Office, 940 Industrial Road 1, Cranbrook, or online through Microsoft Teams.
Current trustees who will not be seeking re-election in 2026 will be available to share their experiences and answer questions about the role of a school trustee, Board governance, time commitments and what prospective candidates can expect.
The session is open to the public, and anyone considering putting their name forward for election is encouraged to attend.
