Aboriginal Education
Dear Parents/ Guardians,
The Aboriginal Education Support Workers Currently assigned to Steeples Elementary School is Cyndi Andrew.
All students who identify themselves of Aboriginal Ancestry are eligible for support services through the Aboriginal Education
Program.
We welcome all students into our space within the school, located next door to the breakfast club.
To support communication we have a bulletin board just outside our door, where we will post current events held within the school
and the community.
We work towards integrating an aboriginal perspective into learning.
We bring in aboriginal presentations and cultural activities into the school.
We work one on one with students and within the classroom.
We support diversity and strive to educate on the many Indigenous Communities in Canada.
We want to ensure all students feel like they belong
