Counselling Services
Our school counsellor supports student well-being with care, respect, and confidentiality.
We offer prevention and intervention services as well as, one-to-one sessions, group sessions, classroom lessons, and guidance for families and staff. Some of the themes the school counsellor can help with are social skills, peer relations, changes in family situations, academic difficulties, and self-esteem.
The counsellor works to understand your child’s needs through conversation, observation, and collaboration. If additional counselling support is explored, a consent form will be sent home, and sessions/support will begin once the form is returned and scheduling allows.
Our T.M. Roberts school counsellors are Aleata Harty-Blank on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and Kathleen Boyle on bi-weekly Tuesdays. You can reach them at aleata.harty-blank@sd5.bc.ca or kathleen.boyle@sd5.bc.ca if you are looking to connect.
