Blue Lake Annual Kootenay Connection DHH Camp
There were 27 Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students (grades 4–12) from School Districts 5, 6, 8, and 20, gathered at Blue Lake for the annual Kootenay Connection DHH Camp.
Students built friendships, strengthened skills, and celebrated Deaf identity and culture through shared experiences. Camps like this support confidence, identity development, and lasting connections across the Kootenay DHH community.
Thank you to the dedicated staff, Deaf Mentors David and Kareem, District Inclusive Education staff, and families whose support made this experience possible.
