Fernie Secondary Senior Art Class
Senior Art students at Fernie Secondary School have been working diligently on their coffee-painted portraits for the past month. Their learning task was to portray a person whether a classmate, family member, or celebrity using a new painting technique. Instead of traditional water colour paints, they used instant coffee as their medium. Students began by creating swatches to practice basic painting techniques with this new material. Learners were encouraged to take an experimental approach and overcome technical challenges through creative thinking.
This project was both fun and enriching, helping students understand the importance of experimentation in the Fine Arts field.
