The Fernie Secondary Studio Art – 3D class worked hard on learning a weaving technique that was used for making Woven Paper Baskets. This project was linked to Indigenous Ways of Knowing as weaving continues to be traditional way of utilizing branches, bark, and grasses for basket making. There were a lot of technical challenges that we had to overcome through this project, but the final products look impressive!
