Youth Care Services
Youth Care Services: Gordon Terrace School offers full time Youth Care services. Mrs. Reid is our Youth Care Worker. She provides behavioural, emotional, and social support to students every day.
The Youth Care Worker helps facilitate various programs and services for students including:
- Referrals to community supports and services
- Life skills, friendship and emotional regulation small groups
- Access to basic need items (clothing, hygiene supplies, school supplies etc.)
- Facilitation of our Breakfast Club and Lunch Programs, Backpack Buddies and other supports for families when available
- Leads classrooms in social and emotional programs
