The Amazing Race
The Amazing Race is about
challenges and puzzles (not athletics). It takes team work, organization, and
clever thought. Before the event is organized we need enough teams of grads.
Sign up as a whole team of six, or sign up individually and be randomly put
into a team with fellow grads. The race takes place on Tuesday, June 25th.

As you cross the stage at
the commencement ceremonies a short biography is read. The biography tells the
watching public your future plans and may reflect on your years in school. Not
everyone watching the ceremony knows you. This is your opportunity to write the
short biography that tells the public who you are and what you wish to become.
This is not the time to thank parents, friends or family. Thank them in person
before or after the ceremony. Biographies need to be appropriate for all
audiences. Here are some examples: "Stacey is pleased to have graduated.
As she leaves Mount Baker she knows she will miss all of the Outdoor Skills
field trips but looks forward to starting a career as a welder."
"Grant's time in middle school and high school was all about basketball.
Now that he has graduated he intends to "turn over a new leaf" by
attending the College of the Rockies and playing volleyball." BIOGRAPHIES
ARE DUE BY FRIDAY JUNE 21.

BC Grad Planner and companion Dogwood Planner
The Graduation Program provides an opportunity for you to discover what you want to do in the future. This Grad Planner helps you get started. It explains what's required and where you have choices. It also covers exams, scholarships, funding and links to websites with helpful information. It's your guide to three of the most important years of your education.
The Student Certification Branch has published the BC Dogwood Planner, an annual document published in January for students in Grade 12.
How to get an Interim Transcript
If you are in need of an interim transcript to start your University/College application process, please go to the Ministry of Education's transcripts and certificates website at www.studenttranscripts.gov.bc.ca. Please note that you must register for a BC Government account and then follow the prompts and register for the Student Transcript Service. You will then be able to make post-secondary institution selections, view your transcript and assessment results, and send transcripts immediately to post-secondary institutions and other third parties. You will need to know your PEN (personal education number), to complete this process. To view three quick videos on how to sign up for the Student Transcript Service and options for sending your transcript, please click here: STS How-To Videos
