Commencement and Prom Update

Since the beginning of the 20/21 school year, we have been anxiously watching the course of the Covid-19 pandemic and subsequent public health orders in anticipation of planning for the 2021 graduating class. The regulations on public gatherings have not significantly changed since last spring. Consequently, the scope of our planning remains unchanged:

  • We should be able to hold a "drive thru commencement"  similar to last year.
  • A prom is not an option.

We will continue to listen to updates from the Ministry of Health. If regulations loosen, we will try and expand the scope of ours plans. I have a spreadsheet of parents who have volunteered to help with planning should the opportunity arise. Thanks to those who put their names forward.

Any updates/announcements we have will be emailed to you, like this one, and posted on our webpage. Plans you hear through other channels are not events associated with Mount Baker and could be in contravention of public health orders. Feel free to call me at the school with questions (250 426 5241 ext. 500) or send me an email (

Post-Secondary Selections (PSI's)

Grade 12 and adult students can view and order their transcripts to be sent to PSIs, prospective employers and themselves on the Student Transcripts Service at: Students must create a Basic BCeID account to access their information. Students need only complete their PSI selections once in the current school year. Students should make their PSI selections by May 1, 2020, but if needed, may add to their selections at any time through July 10, 2020.

Distribution of Transcripts

PSIs receive student transcripts through a variety of methods including XML data transfer, electronic batch files and more. PSIs with the new XML data transfer capability* receive transcript information throughout the year. For PSIs on the electronic batch process, interim transcript information is sent by the Ministry in early May, and final year-end transcript information is distributed in late July. Unless the student needs to send their printed transcript now, the student should leave the default option to allow the PSI to accept transcript information as it becomes available.

If you have completed (have a final mark) in CLC 12 (Career Life Connections 12), your PSI selections have been done as one of your assignments. You may still add to your selections at any time through July 10, 2020.

Students can access the StudentTranscripts Service at:

How to get an Interim Transcript
