Kootenay Orchards Elementary kicked off Take Me Outside Week by welcoming Year 2 Teacher Education students from the University of Victoria, along with their instructor Scott Bailey. 

Using the book The OK Book as inspiration, KO students got creative designing their own movement challenges with simple gym equipment like balls, scoops, beanbags, and skipping ropes. Inspired by Canadian Olympian Duff Gibson’s I Love a Challenge videos, they set goals and created different levels of challenges to tackle outdoors — a fun and active way to start the week!
