The Amy Woodland staff respect and value the history or First Nations, Inuit and Metis, the impact the past has on the future, and are dedicated to reconciliation and healing.  The First People Principals of Learning guide us in fostering a deeper understanding of ways of knowing and being, histories and culture.  The staff and students are supported by a full time Aboriginal Education Support Worker who works out of her own office within the building and brings kids to her welcoming space or joins classrooms within the building. Together we are ensuring that our school is placing these big ideas at the forefront of our practice and planning.
