KDS and KLC offer programs for every age of student.
Here is an overview of the Programs we offer:
Primary Blended Home Learning Program
Based out of our Fernie Campus, this program is for K-4 students and families looking for a home focused learning program that is mixed with teacher/classroom support / meeting times and cohort community outings. This program allows parents to drive the learning of their child, guided by full accredited BC certified teachers, and access to a wealth of resources, online learning programs, and community connections.
Middle Grades Blended Home Learning Progam
Based out of both of our Cranbrook and Fernie Campuses, this program is for grades 5-9 students who are looking for alternative to the traditional school setting. This program offers curriculum that is all online, but is supported by twice weekly in school classroom sessions, focusing on inquiry driven collaboration with peers and the teacher.
Community outings are also scheduled and part of the program. Students have flexibility in pacing, displaying learning competencies and assessment methods.

Distributed Learning online courses for Grades 10-12 students
Based out of both Cranbrook and Fernie, we offer over 60 different online secondary school courses, grades 10-12. These courses are open and free of charge to to any student living in BC, attending high school or not.

Adult Graduation Diploma
Looking to get your high school diploma? It is never too late to graduate! KDS offers the BC graduation Diploma at both our Fernie and Cranbrook campus. The Fernie Campus offers face to face drop in sessions in evenings.
We offer everything you need to graduate at your own pace.
Continuing Education Program for Students and Adults 16 +
Need to upgrade a course or take a different course for post secondary admission ? Can't find the course at your high school or local college? Both the Fernie and Cranbrook campuses offer online courses for students and adults free of charge, as long as you are a resident of BC.
