Mount Baker Secondary School, Cranbrook
Mount Baker Secondary School (MBSS) in Cranbrook has a population of 950 students and includes Grades 10 to 12. About 40 international students attend Mount Baker. The school is large enough to provide a wide variety of academic and elective courses, plus excellent sports, music and performing arts opportunities. An International Student Assistant is available full-time at Mount Baker to help students with course selections, assist students in the classroom, and help with any problems that might come up.
School sports include: soccer, American football, rugby, basketball, volleyball, ski and snowboard, baseball, badminton, mountain biking and golf. Fine arts courses include: Music Composition and Technology, Concert and Jazz Band, Concert and Vocal Jazz Choir, Theatre Production, Theatre Performance, Drama Film & Television and Visual Arts & Media Technology.
The school day starts at 8:30 am and ends at 3:20 pm. Lunch time is a one hour break from 11:30 to 12:30.
