Jr. Girls Volleyball 2024/2025 Champs
WHAT A SEASON!
FSS Junior Girls Green finish their epic season in style winning the 32-team BC Championships Grade 10 event which featured the top teams from all over the province representing all size/tier schools. This season was a memorable one for this talented & gritty squad:
- Overall record of 55-3-1! (Winning 90.15% of sets they played)
- Tournament winners of all 8 tournaments they competed in
- Their first loss of the season happened in their first pool play match at Provincials but the squad bounced back and won 7 matches straight this past weekend including a 3rd set nailbiter in the Gold medal match against the super talented Okanagan Mission (OKM) out of Kelowna to capture the provincial title
- 4 Falcons were recognized by coaches, organizers & refs during the awards (3 All-Stars plus tourney MVP)
- And most importantly the squad for the 2nd year in a row were unanimous winners of the Sportsmanship award as voted on by other teams!
Congrats to the players & coaches for your incredible season and representing Fernie Secondary and the whole of the Kootenays so admirably.
