SOGI
THE RAINBOW PROJECT
SOGI (Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity) education helps make our school a safe, respectful, and welcoming place for everyone. It works to reduce bullying and discrimination and encourages kindness and understanding. SOGI makes sure 2SLGBTQ+ students feel included and valued, teaches all students to accept and respect differences, and prepares them to live in a diverse world.
In 2016, FSS students started an initiative with the goal of promoting inclusion of EVERYONE, no matter your gender identity or sexual orientation. We all need to work together to end discrimination and to make sure it stops in our community.
Students and staff have worked on projects to better represent our diverse community and continue to work towards a more inclusive and caring school community.
