A Program Built on Student Data, Supported by Focused Adult Learning
Glenn Dobie and David Standing describe the student data process that drives the program development and implementation of Sound Connections.  The use of Performance Standards and other measures are outlined.  School and district support for implementation of the program are presented from both a school and district perspective.  Richard Rogers, who coordinates the district professional learning for Sound Connections, describes the staff development model.
 
 
Classroom Teachers
Four classroom teachers from Kindergarten and Grade 1 describe and give examples of the Sound Connections Program in their classroom.  The Student Service teachers discuss the role of this program in literacy intervention programs as this school moves forward in teams to empower all teachers to meet the needs of each and every student.  In addition, there are examples of classroom work with students.
