School District 5 is not a true BYOD (bring your own device) district. We are unable to scan devices to see if the software or anti-virus are up to date prior to connecting them to our network.
- We allow your own device, but it's not a substitute for an SD5 device
- BYOD should be used for basic internet access
- School related tasks that involve student/staff/parent information should never be done on your BYOD device. This would include things like (but not limited to) MyEd extracts, report cards, student documentation to parents, etc.
